About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Kamatics Corporation. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for managing quality improvement projects and leading data-driven decision making through the analysis of manufacturing data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage quality improvement projects through cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Provide data-driven decisions on quality improvement projects through analysis of manufacturing defect data, using tools such as Pareto analysis.
  • Analyze and interpret data to set priorities for quality improvement projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Implement and maintain quality standards, inspection methods, and lean processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop tooling and processes to reduce defects and improve first-pass yield, using techniques such as mistake proofing and process development.
  • Develop inspection methods and standards for implementation of lean processes, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvement, including production, engineering, and maintenance.
  • Participate in customer meetings and visits, ensuring effective communication and relationship-building.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management, ensuring flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field, preferred.
  • 5 years of related work experience, with a focus on quality assurance and control.
  • 5 years of experience in quality tools, including 8D, 5 Why, DOE, APQP, PPAP, and others.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings with geometric dimension and tolerance (GD&T) Y14.5 standards, and coordinate measuring machine reports (CMM).
  • Knowledge of Discus, Net-Inspect, and Epicor software, preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of CMM programming software, preferred but not required.
