Flooring Measurement Specialist

The Flooring Measurement Specialist operates independently in a mobile role supporting Home Depot's Measurement Services division. This role is essential in delivering exceptional customer service that aligns with the company's standards of excellence and customer satisfaction. The specialist is responsible for fostering and enhancing customer relationships through daily interactions, conducting on-site measurements, and coordinating installation services in collaboration with the Measurement Services division. Additionally, this position is accountable for ensuring a positive customer experience, accurately recording measurements using a tablet, and achieving various departmental objectives.
Core Responsibilities:
- Customer Service Focus (90%): Engage with customers to assess their needs, communicate effectively, and perform home measurements.
- Drawing Review (10%): Evaluate and modify drawings on the tablet.
- This position typically reports to the Local Field Manager.
- This role has no direct reports.
- Overnight travel is generally required 5% to 20% of the time.
- Must be able to stand or walk continuously and may need to lift or carry materials or equipment weighing between 8-20 pounds.
- Work is primarily conducted in a comfortable indoor setting, though conditions may occasionally cause mild discomfort.
- Must be at least eighteen years old.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
- No additional qualifications are required.
- Typically acquired knowledge, skills, and abilities through the completion of a high school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience.
