Job Summary

Nassau Financial Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Associate to join our New Business team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of our new business process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Entry and Quality Control: Successfully complete data entry of applications for multiple lines of business, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Case Setup and Management: Set up cases for the New Business Case Manager by reviewing all forms submitted for completion and accuracy.
  • Application Review and Verification: Successfully complete first review of applications and identify missing requirements for multiple lines of business.
  • Escalation and Communication: Identify cases that need special handling and/or involvement and know how to escalate to the right person.
  • Process Management: Know when a case is ready to move to the next phase in the new business process and can explain the chronological order of events on a case.
  • Fund Request and Verification: Identify and prepare cases that are ready to request funds from other financial institutions.
  • Producer Verification and Distribution: Successfully perform the initial producer verification and understand the distribution model.
  • Status Updates and Inquiries: Perform outgoing reach-outs for status of funds and handle basic inquiries on status of applications through phone, email, and chat.
  • Open Enrollment and Straight Through Processing: Handle Open Enrollment and Straight Through Processing for our Medicare Supplement line of business.
  • Task Management and Prioritization: Organize tasks and prioritize items based on level of importance.
  • Corporate Initiatives and Distribution Relationships: Understand and support corporate initiatives and distribution relationships as they impact the issuance and servicing of products.
  • Quality of Business Strategy: Support the day-to-day Quality of Business strategy by identifying and reporting any inconsistencies or discrepancies identified during the New Business Process.
  • Productivity and Quality Goals: Achieve productivity and quality goals, requiring focus on managing daily workload, emphasis on time management and quality standards.
  • Adherence to Company Policies and Procedures: Adhere to company policies and procedures, especially those relating to regulations and controls.
  • Attendance and Reliability: Maintain appropriate attendance and be reliable in meeting job requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer systems, including Outlook, Open Text, UWpro, Firelight, Salesnet/Producer Profile, Accurint, and VCC Max.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, effective listening skills, ability to communicate information verbally and in writing, and strong problem-solving skills.
Compensation
