Position Overview

As a key member of the sales team, the Regional Account Manager will report directly to the Senior Director of Sales. This role is primarily focused on driving dealer placements and sales for our Home Appliance and Television product lines, aligned with a designated semi-annual sales budget and territory strategy. The Regional Account Manager will interact with both direct clients and those serviced through distributors, with performance evaluated based on the following sales KPIs:

  • Achievement of sales targets versus budget for designated customers.
  • Sales growth compared to the previous year for assigned accounts.
  • Timely execution of all marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Effective management of accounts, including forecasts, purchase orders, marketing development funds, chargebacks, collections, returns, minimum advertised price compliance, and service.

The Regional Account Manager will primarily work remotely but is expected to dedicate approximately 60% of their time to travel within their assigned territory for client meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales plans for each six-month fiscal period with established goals and objectives.
  • Conduct regular proactive outreach to independent dealers, prioritizing based on sales strategy and product offerings.
  • Identify dealer opportunities and engage effectively.
  • Provide sales support, including product information, pricing strategies, and updates on new products.
  • Communicate sales programs and critical information regarding the SHARP brand and products.
  • Facilitate web-based training and communications for dealerships and sales representatives.
  • Coordinate trade show activities, including scheduling meetings and implementing effective SHARP social programs.
  • Maintain internal communication regarding deals, challenges, pricing, competitive activities, and new product launches.
  • Update all internal systems and databases concerning dealer information.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Managing key accounts such as PC Richard & Son and select NATM member accounts, along with regional and direct e-commerce accounts.
  • Participating in channel trade shows to promote new sales opportunities, which may involve overnight travel.
  • Building strong relationships with dealer owners, in-store sales staff, service technicians, and other key personnel.
  • Addressing dealer concerns by collaborating with internal teams on chargebacks, accounts receivable, and service issues.
  • Working closely with the assigned SHARP sales leader to ensure optimal success for the SHARP brand and its products.
  • Providing timely updates to management regarding performance, opportunities, concerns, and the needs of key dealer sales representatives.
  • Assisting the Senior Director of Sales with special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or business management is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience is required.
  • Experience in consumer electronics or home appliance sales is ideal.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Strong negotiation abilities.
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen.
  • Ability to navigate a matrixed organization effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 60% domestic travel.
