Front Desk Operations Coordinator

Fairfield Inn and Suites Lookout Mountain is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Guest Service Representative to join our front desk team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing front desk operations, and providing outstanding customer service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities include:
1. Greeting guests warmly and efficiently checking them in and out
2. Responding promptly to guest inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
3. Maintaining accurate records and performing data entry as needed
4. Collaborating with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth guest experiences
5. Providing information and recommendations to guests regarding local attractions, dining options, and hotel amenities
About the Role
This is a dynamic role that requires a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to delivering exceptional customer service. You will be working closely with the front desk team to ensure seamless guest experiences, so excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential. The successful candidate will be a quick learner, able to adapt to changing situations, and possess a positive attitude towards delivering exceptional customer service. Additional responsibilities include:
• Handling guest complaints and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
• Maintaining accurate records and performing data entry as needed
• Participating in ongoing training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge
• Collaborating with the front desk team to achieve sales goals and increase revenue
• Providing input and feedback to help improve hotel operations and services
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Additional requirements include:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or hospitality experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and property management systems
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is between $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off. We also offer discounts on hotel stays and meals, as well as opportunities to earn incentives and bonuses.
