This position ensures the integrity of internal financial controls and auditing processes. It involves the development of comprehensive financial standards and governance. The role also includes the formulation of accounting and budgeting policies, as well as the coordination, completion, and monitoring of financial systems, procedures, and reports. Responsibilities include preparing opening and closing journal entries and submitting all necessary state and federal documentation. The position requires selecting, training, and evaluating finance team members while handling sensitive information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities:


Oversees and organizes the management of accounting and budgeting functions, which encompass payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial reporting.

Develops and implements procedures for generating fiscal reports and maintaining financial records.
Ensures adherence to all contractual obligations and compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing accounting systems.
Supervises the collection, classification, and summarization of data for the preparation of financial reports.
Assigns contracts to appropriate sales personnel, makes necessary adjustments, and manages documentation.
Verifies vendor invoices against Purchase Orders and other relevant documents for accuracy before forwarding to the accounting team for processing.
Prepares opening and closing journal entries; monitors cash flow, verifies revenue and expenses, categorizes, and inputs information into the financial system.

Coordinates the generation and distribution of various reports, including Financial Statements, Trial Balances, Income Statements, General Ledger Details, Monthly Revenue, and Job Status reports.

Reviews sales personnel commission calculations, confirms accuracy, and forwards findings to the Director of Business Development for further action.

Examines Borrower certificates; cross-references checks against cash receipts and revenue; reviews outstanding accounts receivable reports.
Manages payroll operations to ensure the timely and accurate processing of semi-monthly payrolls.

Payroll Management Responsibilities:
Reviews employee records to ascertain names, pay rates, and job titles of new hires.
Handles changes in wage rates and job titles for employees on payroll.
Processes payroll journals and posts entries to the general ledger.
Compiles and prepares additional payroll data, including 401(k) contributions and insurance information.
Reviews and records payroll deductions.
Updates tax tables promptly.

Acts as the ADP Administrator, assisting employees with access, withholding adjustments, and tax document downloads.
Serves as the Secondary Administrator for ITG's 401(k) retirement plan.

Ensures the precise and timely preparation of various required documents, including Quarterly GSA Reports, Quarterly Bank Compliance Certificates, annual audits or reviews, and 401(k) reports.

Responsible for selecting, hiring, training, and evaluating finance staff.
