Position: Director of Communications
Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive, strategic, and experienced Director of Communications to enhance our Marketing division at Headquarters. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing & Corporate Communication, this leadership role entails overseeing several direct reports. The perfect candidate will have over a decade of experience, a strong desire to utilize strategic communications to shape brand identity and corporate culture, and a proven history of team leadership. They should excel in storytelling and possess the strategic vision necessary to elevate HITT's brand while demonstrating decision-making prowess in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
The Director of Communications will be responsible for establishing the organization's communication strategy, leading multi-channel campaigns, and ensuring effective collaboration across Marketing and Communication departments to meet established goals. This role involves working closely with internal creative teams, external agencies, and various leaders to coordinate comprehensive marketing strategies for significant projects and campaign launches. The Director will serve as a bridge between the brand, creative department, digital marketing, and both internal and external communications to enhance experiences for team members and clients alike. They will ensure the precise delivery of corporate messaging across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing Campaign Oversight: Direct the creation and implementation of annual marketing campaigns aligned with brand objectives. Guide content development, messaging, and campaign strategies while overseeing corporate messaging across all channels.
- Advertising Strategy: Support the organization’s advertising initiatives to ensure consistent messaging throughout all platforms.
- Content Planning and Development: Develop annual content strategies and create impactful marketing content for external communication channels.
- Internal Communications: Generate engaging content for various internal platforms and establish effective communication guidelines during transitional periods.
- Crisis Communications: Oversee crisis communication efforts and formulate strategies for effective safety messaging.
- Executive Communication: Build relationships with internal stakeholders and senior leadership to refine executive communication strategies.
- Corporate Engagement: Identify innovative initiatives, manage key performance indicators, and represent the organization at industry events.
- Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and retain a team of communication professionals to foster their growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or English
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, branding, communications, or public relations
- Experience in B2B or professional services environments
- Proven team management experience in a corporate context
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, social media platforms, CRM systems, etc.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing marketing strategies
- Experience in crisis communications and media relations
- Exceptional writing, communication, and organizational skills
