Position Summary

The Engineer III plays a pivotal role within the BCP Maintenance team, overseeing the design and installation of new or replacement electrical and automation systems. This position is responsible for establishing reliability standards and guidelines for engineering and maintenance operations related to these systems, ensuring that engineering documentation and technical specifications are consistently updated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement enhancements to process equipment using a reliability-centered maintenance approach.
  • Lead the design and execution of electrical projects and initiatives within the facility.
  • Develop comprehensive shutdown work plans for electrical system upgrades.
  • Maintain up-to-date engineering drawings, maintenance protocols, and technical documentation.
  • Provide guidance to maintenance personnel and contracted labor.
  • Optimize electrical spare parts inventory, establish efficient supply agreements, and reduce holding costs.
  • Design and implement training programs for maintenance staff focusing on operations, maintenance, and safety.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for electrical safety throughout the facility.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement preventive measures.
  • Assist with various maintenance tasks across BCP as necessary.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an electrical engineering capacity.
  • At least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance engineering.
  • Experience in heavy manufacturing, particularly in the implementation of automation projects with successful outcomes in cost and performance.
  • Project management experience.
