Job Description

As a Commercial Fire Service Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, repairing, and troubleshooting security and fire systems. Your duties will include:

  • Traveling to commercial client sites to service, repair, and troubleshoot fire, access control equipment, and IP-based video security systems.
  • Ensuring the operability and compliance of physical security systems with applicable building codes.
  • Applying documentation for tracking service-related issues.
  • Demonstrating knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools, analog/digital test equipment, and CCTV testing devices.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school degree, vocational school, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of two years of field experience.
  • A valid FAST license.
  • A current driver's license if driving a company vehicle.
  • Possession of state-specific licensing or the ability to hold a license once hired.
  • Understanding of Windows operating systems and overall IT network topology.
  • Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external customers.
