Job Summary

The Senior Manager of IT Infrastructure is responsible for leading a team of network, system, and database engineers. This role oversees the infrastructure operations for Penumbra's critical IT infrastructure and applications. Key responsibilities include implementation and operations management and support of a hybrid infrastructure environment spanning campus networking, on-premises data centers, private and public cloud services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and network security. They will also possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of network, system, and database engineers
  • Oversee infrastructure operations for Penumbra's critical IT infrastructure and applications
  • Implement and manage hybrid infrastructure environment
  • Develop and maintain technical architecture, designs, and standards
  • Provide engineering support for complex and recurring issues
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure services policies, standards, and procedures
  • Manage the security of the core infrastructure, including Network, systems and databases and cloud applications technical components

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years' experience in deploying and managing IT infrastructure, including network, systems and cloud environments
  • Proven experience leading a global infrastructure engineering team, managing both people and technology
  • Strong hands-on experience in deploying and managing highly available and reliable WIFI, LAN, WAN, VPN and Network security technology solutions
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Linux, Azure, and VMware
