Compensation Package:

Key Responsibilities:
Job Purpose

The Forklift Operator I is tasked with the loading and unloading of finished goods trailers efficiently.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify products as per shipping documentation.
Utilize lift truck to transport goods from the warehouse to the loading zone.
Complete product movement documentation to ensure inventory accuracy.

Confirm that design numbers and quantities match the shipping documents.

Load and unload products manually as indicated in shipping instructions.
Store finished goods and supplies received from various sources.
Inspect trailers and complete necessary paperwork.
Secure trailers effectively.
Maintain high housekeeping standards to ensure a safe working environment.
Communicate effectively with operators and plant management.
Address and report safety concerns immediately.
Maintain an excellent safety and attendance record.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Experience

Required Experience:
Minimum of six (6) months in a warehouse setting.
At least one (1) year of forklift operation experience.
Experience working in varying weather conditions.
Demonstrated adherence to company policies and procedures.
Skills
Essential skills for the Forklift Operator position include:
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Basic mathematical proficiency.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and proactively.
Physical Requirements
This role is situated in a manufacturing environment.

Physical demands include:

Extended periods of standing (frequent)
Extended periods of sitting (frequent)
Occasional climbing of stairs/ladders/platforms
Working in a manufacturing setting with fluctuating temperatures, dust, noise levels above 85 dBA, and moving equipment (frequent)
Working Conditions
Individuals in the Forklift Operator role must:
Be physically capable of working in varying temperature conditions.
Hold a valid forklift certification.
Be physically able to perform essential job functions.
Lift up to 30 pounds regularly.
Maintain a clean driving record and possess a personal vehicle.

Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
