Job Overview

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following outlines the key responsibilities associated with the role of Truck Handling.

  • Oversee the loading and unloading processes of raw materials at the facility.
  • Conduct weighing of both incoming and outgoing raw material transport vehicles.
  • Perform cleaning of industrial machinery as necessary.
  • Operate various mobile equipment as specified below.
  • Assist in forming and raw material operations as required.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the loading and unloading zones.

EQUIPMENT PROFICIENCY:

  • Forklift
  • Floor Scrubber
  • Street Sweeper
  • JLG / Loader
  • Front End Loader

SAFETY PROTOCOLS:

  • Comprehend and adhere to all safety regulations
    • Current on all required safety training sessions
    • Utilize all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) when required (steel-toed boots, safety glasses, ear protection)
  • Understand Lock Out Tag Out procedures for designated areas.
  • Complete General Plant Safety Training within the initial 8 weeks of employment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for prolonged periods while operating a shovel or jackhammer.
