Business Development Manager

Columbus McKinnon is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to drive sales growth and develop strong relationships with customers. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and ensuring sales goals are met in the assigned product and territory.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain positive sales relationships with existing customers and end users
- Visit potential new customers and end users to generate product interest and sell our products
- Act as a technical resource to customers, providing technical information and helping to address and resolve inquiries and problems
- Provide product and application recommendations for project specifications
- Conduct end user site visits and demonstrate willingness to work in various environments
- Coach distribution personnel and evaluate their competency in supporting our products and services
- Identify and maintain relationships within key end users and/or vertical markets
- Develop customer quotations and review them for accuracy and effectiveness
- Formulate business plans and strategies to manage and grow sales territory
- Forecast and track key account metrics in support of growth
- Maintain and promote Columbus McKinnon's Core Values
- Exhibit and maintain technical competency and remain current in technology and industry changes
- Effectively communicate in both oral and written form
- Respect, understand, and be sensitive to diverse communication styles
The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, and vibration.
