Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Fellow to join our team at Harvard University in the field of bioprinting and tissue engineering. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects, develop novel bioprinting methods, and contribute to the advancement of disease modeling and therapeutic tissues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development, preparation, and execution of bioprinting protocols to fabricate disease models and therapeutic tissues.
  • Contribute to a multidisciplinary team encompassing tissue engineering, mechanical design, materials science, and biology.
  • Conduct cell culture, microscopy, and associated molecular biology tasks and protocols with minimal supervision and in collaboration with lab members.
  • Think creatively to develop and validate experimental protocols.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related discipline is required.
  • Written and verbal skills for communicating scientific ideas.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment is strongly preferred.
  • A strong work ethic and a willingness to work outside of his/her discipline to accomplish project goals.
  • Experience with flow cytometry, immunofluorescent imaging, confocal microscopy, ELISAs, and PCR.
  • Experience with microfluidics, bioprinting, and/or related microfabrication techniques is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cancer biology and/or immunology is a plus.
  • Prior experience in either cell culture, biological assays and/or mechanical design (using computer-aided software).
