Job Summary

The Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences is seeking highly qualified postdoctoral researchers to join the Disease Biophysics Group. We are currently accepting applications for postdoctoral positions in the following areas:

  • 1. Tissue and Organ Engineering
    • Utilizing additive manufacturing techniques to build complex tissues and organs
  • 2. Vascular Network Engineering
    • Designing and engineering vascular networks for tissue regeneration
  • 3. Machine Learning in Cell and Tissue Engineering
    • Applying machine learning algorithms to improve cell and tissue engineering outcomes

Candidates should have a strong publication record in cardiac and vascular engineering or biology. A background in the visual arts and/or design is highly valued. All positions require a doctoral degree.

About the Disease Biophysics Group

The Disease Biophysics Group is a dynamic and interdisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, clinicians, and artists working at the intersection of art, cell biology, design, materials science, and computational modeling. We are committed to advancing our understanding of disease mechanisms and developing innovative solutions for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.

Responsibilities

Postdoctoral researchers will be expected to:

  • Conduct independent research projects in one of the above areas
  • Collaborate with group members to advance our understanding of disease mechanisms and develop innovative solutions
  • Present research findings at national and international conferences
  • Publish research results in top-tier scientific journals

Requirements
