Job Title: Insurance Business Development Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Insurance Business Development Specialist to join our team at Farmers District 31. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating new business and helping the agency to grow. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying new business opportunities, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Meet new business production goals and objectives as established
* Solicit for new business via telephone, networking, and other lead sources
* Develop insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales
* Develop ongoing networking relationships with Real Estate Agents, Mortgage Lenders, Title Companies, Auto Dealers, etc.
* Treat each customer contact as a cross and up-sell opportunity including financial products
* Verify phone numbers, addresses, and email addresses with each customer contact and update customer information
* Thoroughly understand and follow all underwriting, rating, and compliance requirements
* Maintain knowledge of new products
* Generating insurance quotes
* Maintain client relationships with follow-up phone calls

Requirements:

* Possess a genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive, and resourceful
* Must have an upbeat, positive, and enthusiastic attitude
* Create relationships from a cold start
* Proficiency to multi-task, follow-thru, and follow-up
* Confident, self-starter who works well independently
* Problem-Solving Capabilities
* Works well with other employees and is a team player
* Be able to obtain or currently possess a Property & Casualty insurance license
* Ability to obtain or possess a Life & Health Insurance license
* Display leadership competencies, including ability to delegate, engage, and inspire others
* Strong work ethic and leadership skills
* Driven and goal-oriented individual
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
