THE ROLE:
We are in search of a Lead Game Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team.

In this capacity, you will be tasked with acquiring a comprehensive understanding of our codebase to support the entire development team.

You will collaborate with fellow team members to establish and enhance fundamental game systems. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating new systems as requirements evolve.

You are a seasoned C++ engineer with experience in shipped titles, preferably in fast-paced action genres.
You relish tackling complex challenges, navigating through solutions and their implications.

You possess a curiosity about the entire project, excited to engage across various systems.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Produce pragmatic, reliable, and deployable code, with maintainability being crucial for a live game.
Develop, maintain, and optimize game systems, taking ownership from conception to delivery.
Collaborate with all disciplines to address a diverse range of challenges.
Acquire a broad understanding of our codebase to effectively support the development team.
Facilitate discussions — from proposing enhancements to negotiating compromises with design to mitigate risks.
Contribute to the ongoing evolution of our game code architecture.
Bring enthusiasm for assisting us in delivering an exceptional gaming experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in shipping a game using C++, ideally with Unreal Engine 4/5.
Background in game and foundational systems.
Experience in multiplayer/networking environments.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience in developing an ARPG or Looter Shooter.
Experience in online multiplayer games within a 'live' operational framework.

Compensation:
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, exempt (salaried) position.
The full salary range for this position is $147,800 - $221,700 per year. The upper third of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time.

When an offer is made, many factors are considered, such as your unique experience and skills, where you live, where the work will be performed, what similar jobs pay, internal equity, and what you're looking for.

In addition to base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for additional incentives, such as a sign-on bonus and short- and long-term incentives.

Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
