Our current project involves developing an original multiplayer game in collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment. Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Gameplay Engineer who is passionate about gaming and excited to deliver exceptional entertainment experiences to a global audience.

Your responsibilities will include architecting and developing core player systems, such as movement mechanics, weapon functionalities, and player actions within our game. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a stable development environment and ensuring high code quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop user-facing gameplay features and the underlying systems that support them.
  • Create reliable, production-ready code.
  • Adhere to coding standards, participate in code reviews, and contribute to the evolution of our development processes.
  • Utilize interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with the team and leadership regarding the trade-offs of various coding solutions and strategies to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of content creators to integrate their assets seamlessly into the gameplay experience.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have experience in coding for player combat, movement, and related systems within a AAA game development environment. Familiarity with fast-paced online games is advantageous.

You possess a strong technical acumen and believe in the importance of respectful communication. You have a keen sense of game feel and can devise concrete solutions to enhance or troubleshoot game-related features.

Proficiency in one or more of the following platforms is essential: UE4/UE5/C++ or a proprietary game engine. You are proactive and take initiative in your work, always seeking to contribute to the development process.

As a gaming enthusiast, you empathize with players and understand their experiences deeply.

Compensation
The estimated base pay range for this role is $172,100 - $258,100 USD.
