Your Impact:
In this position, you will play a crucial role in transforming the lives of individuals facing substance abuse challenges, often accompanied by co-occurring conditions. You will develop and apply your skills in compassionate care, crisis intervention, and de-escalation within a supportive and inclusive work setting. This role offers the chance to provide our community with substance abuse treatment, assisting individuals as they transition from hopelessness to a place of value and potential for a better future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records and documentation necessary for billing processes.
- Conduct Quality Assurance related to data and record management.
- Collaborate effectively within a team and communicate concerns during weekly meetings with Program and Personnel Managers.
- Participate in all staff meetings, required agency meetings, and training sessions unless excused.
- Document minutes during staff meetings.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and various documents as required.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment at all times.
- Operate program vehicles when necessary.
- Safeguard confidential information diligently.
- Perform data entry tasks in AVATAR on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Monitor and document data on census and bed day reports.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering office, household, and food supplies.
- Foster positive working relationships with team members and staff.
- Assist with transportation needs as required.
- Support Program and Personnel Managers with program presentations to various stakeholders as needed.
- Act as a designated Safety Coordinator, collaborating and sharing information from Horizon Services Safety committee meetings.
- Provide support to frontline staff during meal and rest breaks as necessary.
- Complete other duties as assigned by Program and Personnel Managers.
Qualifications for Success:
- Proficient in computer usage, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database systems; capable of writing reports.
- Familiarity with demographic data collection.
- Ability to protect and manage Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Strong time management and prioritization skills.
- Experience in presenting programs and services to the community.
- Capability to execute projects and assess results/impact.
- Experience working with clients in crisis or feeling overwhelmed.
- Background in engaging with diverse populations and cultures.
- Good judgment and ability to maintain healthy boundaries with participants.
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record and car insurance.
Additional Requirements:
- Current CPR/First Aid certification is desirable.
- Background check and drug testing required upon hire.
- Current flu vaccination.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination mandates for healthcare organizations.
- TB Test.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a comprehensive benefits package to all full-time and part-time employees working over 20 hours per week, including:
- 100% coverage of medical, dental, life, and LTD for employees, with 50% coverage for dependents.
- Paid Time Off (PTO) and holiday pay.
