Job Skills / Requirements
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our professional team. The primary responsibilities include overseeing a cleaning crew, managing floor care, and executing specialized services in facility maintenance.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of industrial standards and adhere to Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. This role involves coordinating the activities of staff engaged in the cleaning and upkeep of federal facilities.

Essential Functions:
The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, energetic, and motivated, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in custodial services. Key responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring cleanliness of all office spaces, restrooms, and laboratories on a daily basis.
  • Maintaining floors through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and high-speed cleaning as necessary.
  • Exhibiting regular and punctual attendance.
  • Coordinating and performing general custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning windows and light fixtures.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms, replenishing paper supplies and soap, and performing nightly sweeping and mopping.
  • Conducting minor maintenance and repair work on custodial equipment.
  • Inspecting areas for quality assurance as per the Custodial Log Book.
  • Cleaning office furniture, walls, windows, and floors to remove stains and fingerprints.
  • Operating floor maintenance equipment, including buffers, strippers, and vacuum cleaners.
  • Effectively interacting with the public.
  • Maintaining inventory records of equipment and supplies, along with reorder requests.
  • Possessing reliable transportation is preferred.
  • Training others and performing related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
Overall Strength Demands:
The role involves light to medium lifting.
Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids:
The essential functions require the use of cleaning supplies such as mops, cleaning chemicals, vacuums, and potentially buffers.

Environmental Factors:
This position is primarily performed indoors within a temperature range of 70-80 degrees, with the potential for lifting up to 30 pounds.

Compensation:
This is an hourly position with a competitive wage.
