Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and Evaluate Custodial Staff: Provide guidance and support to custodial staff to ensure they are meeting the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Daily Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
  • Opening and Closing Procedures: Ensure that buildings and gates are opened and closed securely and that all necessary systems are functioning properly.
  • Security System Monitoring: Monitor the security system to ensure that all areas of the building are secure and that any issues are addressed promptly.
  • Routine Repairs: Perform routine repairs and maintenance to ensure that buildings and equipment are in good working order.
  • Supply Management: Order supplies and maintain inventory to ensure that custodial staff have the necessary materials to perform their duties.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience as a custodian or in a related field is required.
  • Leadership Skills: The ability to direct and supervise custodial staff is essential.
  • Knowledge of Custodial Supplies and Equipment: A working knowledge of custodial supplies and equipment is required.
  • Understanding of Building Maintenance: An understanding of building maintenance and repair is essential.
