Position Overview

The Senior Warehouse Operations Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the Satellite Commissary, ensuring effective management of Warehouse Managers, Supervisors, Leads, Drivers, and Warehouse Workers while collaborating with Amtrak personnel. As a key figure in the operations team, the Senior Warehouse Operations Leader develops and executes strategies to meet both Company and client goals.

Compensation Information

COMPENSATION: The salary for this role ranges from $80,000.00 to $85,000.00, influenced by factors such as the applicant's skills, qualifications, relevant degrees and certifications, previous experience, market data, and other pertinent elements. Additional compensation may include bonuses or commissions where applicable. This represents Aramark's good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position at the time of posting.

Upon hiring, the employee will be in an "at-will position," and Aramark retains the right to adjust base salary and any other discretionary payment or compensation program at any time and for any reason, including but not limited to individual performance, departmental performance, and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the management of Warehouse Operations Managers and staff to ensure operational excellence across all warehouse and commissary areas, including the satellite area, and the efficient operation of the Warehouse Inventory Management System (WIMS) and related equipment; ensure inventory is received, issued, and processed in accordance with established compliance SOPs.
  • Provide coaching, training, and development for warehouse managers and staff through both informal and formal training programs, offering performance feedback through on-floor coaching and written evaluations.
  • Ensure adherence to the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Disciplinary Guidelines/Work Rules, and Attendance Policy.
  • Assist the General Manager in problem-solving, evaluating work methods, procedures, controls, and staffing to ensure accurate and timely product movement and processing; manage warehouse layout for optimal efficiency.
  • Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and counseling Warehouse staff to support ongoing development; leverage leadership skills to set goals for front-line teams and provide regular performance feedback.
  • Model and promote safety leadership and all key initiatives related to core values, fostering a positive work environment within the Commissary; ensure full implementation of Aramark Safety Programs and compliance with State and Federal Regulations.
  • Monitor safety, physical security, and operational metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in leading an operations team.
  • Experience in customer service leadership, foodservice or route sales operations, performance management, and training and development of front-line managers/personnel is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to obtain DOT certification for operating DOT-regulated vehicles.
  • Strong client interaction, communication, organization/time management, multi-tasking, detail-oriented, accuracy-driven, and proficient computer skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently is also important.
  • Familiarity with inventory control procedures and experience with perishable products is required.
  • Industry experience should include vending, food service, route distribution, or retail.
  • Must be available to work various shifts in a 24/7 operation.
