Job Summary:

As a Lead IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the management and oversight of all aspects of a technology project to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion. You will have overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, internal staffing, vendors, and contractual deliverables. Your duties will include developing detailed project plans, monitoring project milestones, generating periodic status reports, evaluating and managing risk, and incorporating quality measures and standards to project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead multiple medium to large-sized projects
  • Develop and execute division project initiatives
  • Own, track, and report on key performance metrics for leadership
  • Work with project stakeholders to develop an objective-based comprehensive project plan as per allocated time and budget
  • Establish, build rapport, and maintain relationships with stakeholders, third parties, and vendors to ensure their coordination with internal resources
  • Create, build, and update project schedules, project charters, status reports, and work breakdown structures
  • Track and report on financial data, performance, and status of multiple projects by leveraging project management tools and techniques
  • Identify key project risks and manage them to ensure the delivery of business goals; escalate issues to management as needed
  • Facilitate and determine the resolution of project-related conflicts, including necessary corrective action(s)
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to corporate operational standards and processes
  • Ensure proper project closure, including lessons learned
  • Work with consultant staff performing a wide range of project controls functions
  • Prepare information technology project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
Requirements:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead IT Project Manager with a Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of related experience. Alternatively, equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope, and skill reflective of the level of this position is also acceptable.

Preferred Skills:
  • Proven track record of Data Center/Core Infrastructure technology build out and deployments (i.e., CISCO/CITRIX/Virtual Computer/Storage/Data protection)
  • Security build out/deployments (i.e., Akamai, CrowdStrike Falcon, etc.)
  • ServiceNow PPM
  • Hybrid Waterfall deployment methodology
  • Fast-paced environment with enterprise-level deployment experience and juggling multiple priorities
Technical Skills:
  • Experience with Microsoft Office; Project Management; Root Cause Analysis; Sourcing; Stakeholder Management; Vendor Relationship Management
  • Knowledge of Agile Software Development; Scrum (Software Development); Software Development Life Cycle
Soft Skills:
  • Intermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty
  • Intermediate - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $98,900.00 - $183,100.00 per year. Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field, or office work schedules.
