Sinclair Community College is dedicated to fostering an academically and culturally diverse faculty committed to the college's mission. We are currently in search of part-time (adjunct) instructors for various courses offered at our partner correctional facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement instructional strategies that enhance student learning.
  • Prepare and submit course syllabi in alignment with departmental guidelines.
  • Utilize effective teaching methods and integrate instructional technology as needed.
  • Adapt instructional techniques to accommodate diverse learning needs.
  • Encourage and support student success in both classroom and online settings.
  • Assess and provide timely feedback on student assignments to facilitate learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
  • Submit final grades in accordance with established timelines.
  • Ensure confidentiality of student information.
  • Adhere to a maximum of 12 credit hours per semester.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in management, business, marketing, or a related field is required. Alternatively, a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the relevant subject area is acceptable.
  • Preferred experience in teaching Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Demonstrated successful teaching experience is preferred.
  • A commitment to enhancing student learning through innovative instructional strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse college environment.
  • Proficiency in modern educational technology, including multimedia instruction.
  • Instructors must be available to teach in-person prior to offering online courses.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • Official transcripts for all post-secondary degrees will be required prior to hiring.
