Job Opportunity: Executive Director of St. Louis

Boys Hope Girls Hope, a leading nonprofit organization, seeks a seasoned executive to lead its St. Louis affiliate. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of leadership, fundraising, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership and Governance:
    • Develop and implement the affiliate's strategic and annual operational plans, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and goals.
    • Drive performance management and continuous quality improvement processes, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
    • Provide the Board of Directors with comprehensive materials and information to inform their governance, planning, and fundraising responsibilities.
  • Resource Development:
    • Ensure the Development Director position is staffed and supported for high performance, driving fundraising efforts and securing new revenue streams.
    • Serve as the lead fundraiser, cultivating relationships with current donors and identifying new funding opportunities.
    • Collaborate with the Board of Directors, Development Committee, and Development Director to develop and implement a comprehensive income plan.
  • Program Oversight:
    • Ensure the Program Director position is staffed and supported for high performance, ensuring adherence to Boys Hope Girls Hope standards.
    • Supervise the Program Director, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs and services.
  • Public Relations:
    • Serve as the official face and voice of the organization, promoting a consistent public image and reputation.
    • Develop and implement effective media strategies to raise awareness and support for the organization's mission and goals.
    • Collaborate with the team and Board of Directors to ensure fundraising goals are met through targeted marketing and outreach efforts.
  • Stewardship and Administration:
    • Lead and develop all direct reports, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
    • Direct all office and administrative functions, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
    • Ensure all functions are adequately staffed, with a focus on talent development and retention.
    • Responsible for the proper stewardship of organizational resources, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Qualifications
  • Proven leadership experience in a nonprofit or related field, with a strong track record of fundraising, board development, and management.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role, with a focus on strategic planning, performance management, and continuous quality improvement.
  • BA in Administration, Management, or related field required, MA preferred.
Working Conditions

This is an executive position requiring a positive projection to the public, supervision of staff, excellent written and verbal communication, planning and organization, independent decision making, and attendance at meetings.

Regular travel in the St. Louis area will be required. Evening and weekend work may be necessary.
