Job Summary

The Audio Visual Technician will serve as the primary point of contact for all audio visual technical support requests for events. This role will collaborate with Conference Solutions staff, Compass employees, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the operation of audio visual equipment, including setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate rehearsals and client-run events, ensuring all technical aspects are thoroughly planned and executed.
  • Provide expert knowledge on all audio visual equipment and systems, including connections and logistics.
  • Oversee maintenance and installation of audio visual equipment, including auditorium screens and research.
  • Manage the master calendar, consolidating and distributing event information.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Special Events email inbox, responding to and processing incoming room requests.
  • Enter Resource Scheduler reservations into the booking system and Outlook.
  • Manage meeting room bookings, utilizing the reservation system to maximize utilization.
  • Communicate with customers regarding reservation process, including how to book space and access resources.
  • Process cancellations in a timely fashion, reaching out for cancellation reason as needed.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience in project management and coordination.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office product suite.
  • Knowledge of technical/audiovisual equipment, including Zoom, Teams, and Skype.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and make decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and maintain a flexible approach when providing customer support.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
