Core Responsibilities:
Parking Oversight:
· Guide vehicles to available parking spots, optimizing space usage and operational efficiency.
· Assist drivers in navigating into parking spaces, particularly in busy or constrained areas.
· Ensure vehicles are parked correctly and comply with established parking regulations.
Traffic Management:
· Regulate vehicle movement within parking facilities to avoid congestion and ensure a steady flow.
· Oversee pedestrian traffic to guarantee safe crossings and reduce conflicts with vehicles.
· Liaise with event coordinators, security teams, and law enforcement to resolve traffic-related matters.
Customer Engagement:
· Offer friendly and informative assistance to event attendees, addressing inquiries and providing directions.
· Respond to customer questions or concerns regarding parking policies, payment methods, and facility features.
· Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with guests, vendors, and event personnel.
Financial Transactions (if applicable) & Payment Handling:
· Collect parking fees from attendees and issue receipts or tickets as required.
· Process cash transactions accurately and securely, adhering to established financial protocols.
· Reconcile cash collections at the end of shifts and report any discrepancies to supervisory staff.
Assist customers with guidance on cashless payment options, whether through kiosks or mobile payment methods.
Safety and Compliance:
· Monitor parking areas for any suspicious activities or safety concerns, promptly reporting issues to supervisory staff or security.
· Ensure adherence to parking regulations and safety standards to prevent accidents or incidents.
· Assist in executing emergency protocols, such as evacuations or medical emergencies, as directed by supervisory staff.
Work Environment:
This position typically requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow. The role involves standing or walking for extended periods and may include directing traffic in busy or crowded environments.
Job Type: Part-time
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 10 – 25 hours per week, with a schedule including evening shifts and weekends.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
· Previous experience in parking management, event services, or customer-facing roles is beneficial.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals in high-pressure situations.
· Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
· Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions accurately.
· Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.
