Role Summary

The Vice President of Human Resources (CPO) serves as a pivotal leader responsible for managing all facets of human resources, encompassing talent acquisition, employee development, performance evaluation, compensation, benefits, and employee relations. This role will spearhead the organization's people strategy, ensuring it aligns with overarching business objectives while cultivating a positive and inclusive workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Formulate and implement HR strategies that support the company's business goals. Provide direction and mentorship to the HR team.
  • Talent Acquisition: Supervise the recruitment process to ensure the organization attracts and retains high-caliber talent. Innovate and execute effective recruitment strategies.
  • Employee Development: Design and oversee programs focused on employee training, development, and succession planning, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional advancement.

  • Performance Management: Establish and manage performance evaluation systems, including goal setting, performance assessments, and feedback mechanisms.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Direct the design and management of competitive compensation and benefits packages, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Employee Relations: Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture, addressing employee concerns and grievances in a timely and equitable manner.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure HR practices adhere to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, mitigating HR-related risks.

  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, fostering an inclusive environment where all employees feel valued and respected.
  • Organizational Development: Lead organizational change initiatives, including restructuring and mergers, ensuring seamless transitions aligned with business objectives.
  • HR Analytics: Leverage HR data and analytics to guide decision-making and assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing effective HR strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing operationally.
  • Experience with HR software and analytics tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution capabilities.
