The Senior Analyst for Operations Initiatives plays a crucial role in supporting and coordinating the execution of operational projects within North America. This position requires interaction with various stakeholders across multiple levels within Sherwin-Williams Business Services, as well as collaboration with different business units. The analyst will be responsible for maintaining updates on individual initiatives and program-level activities using designated project management tools and templates. Additionally, the analyst will identify opportunities for improvement and standardization within these tools, creating new resources as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support North America initiative workstreams:

  • Coordinate activities related to project plans for North America initiatives, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and adherence to timelines.
  • Facilitate project meetings, summarizing discussions and following up on action items, risks, issues, and necessary decisions.
  • Lead one or two specific initiatives with guidance from the line manager.
  • Analyze existing processes to recommend and implement harmonization, optimization, and cost-saving strategies, including automation.

Provide program-level initiative support:

  • Maintain comprehensive program-level information in designated project management tools and status update materials.
  • Collaborate with initiative leaders to ensure that project information is consistently updated in the relevant tools.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of standardized project templates, presentations, and other resources.
  • Identify and escalate any risks related to initiatives, workstreams, or programs.
  • Assist with various initiative or program-specific tasks as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or at least three years of relevant experience in finance and/or project management roles.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in project management or extensive project coordination.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic work environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience within Sherwin-Williams Business Services.
  • Three to five years of experience in finance-related areas.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet or similar project management tools.

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating effective multitasking and strong communication skills.
  • Aptitude for learning new processes and technologies.
  • Proficient in interacting with all management levels using effective written and verbal communication.
  • Capability to understand and adapt new technologies to align with business rules.
  • Willingness to occasionally lead or participate in online meetings outside of standard working hours.

Preferred:

  • Experience in enhancing user experience and improving processes.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.

Willingness to travel up to 10%.
