Director of Social Services

Morrison Woods Health Campus is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Social Services to lead our Social Services Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing, planning, organizing, and developing the operation of the Social Services Department.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and manage the Social Services Department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
- Participate in the implementation of social care plans and resident assessments, ensuring that the medically related emotional and social needs of residents are met and maintained.
- Develop and implement social service programs, including discharge planning, social care plans, and resident assessments.
- Review and revise care plans and assessments as necessary, ensuring that they are up-to-date and meet the needs of residents.
- Provide information to residents and their families on Medicare, Medicaid, and other financial assistance programs.
- Develop and implement plans of correction for social service deficiencies noted during survey inspections.
- Interview residents and their families to obtain social history and provide support as needed.
- Attend and participate in annual company-required in-service training programs.
- Follow all safety regulations, programs, policies, and procedures.
- Follow resident rights and responsibilities, including the right of refusal.
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding resident complaints and grievances.
- Assist in recruiting, screening, selecting, hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and developing a team of qualified and highly motivated individuals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field preferred.
- Three to five years' experience working in the field of social services in a senior residential care, healthcare, senior living industry, or long-term care environment.
- Exemplary computer skills, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- Must meet state requirements and regulatory code(s) for licensure or certification.
