Senior Accounting Associate - ASM Global

Overview

The Senior Accounting Associate is responsible for managing the daily accounting operations within the organization. This role encompasses a variety of essential functions, including:

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining detailed records of fixed assets and conducting thorough account analyses.
  • Supporting the Finance Director in the preparation of comprehensive financial statements.
  • Reconciling accounts receivable and accounts payable control accounts with detailed aging reports.
  • Verifying cash receipts and disbursements for accuracy.
  • Executing monthly closing procedures for subsidiary ledgers.
  • Inputting journal entries into the accounting system.
  • Assisting accounts receivable and accounts payable clerks with the coding of transactions into the general ledger.
  • Conducting account analyses on various general ledger accounts.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by the accounting manager.
  • Auditing box office ticket sales reports for accuracy.
  • Overseeing and auditing parking sales transactions.
  • Managing telephone deposits related to events.
Supervisory Duties
  • This position may involve minimal supervisory responsibilities, primarily assisting junior staff accountants or newly hired accounting personnel. Support will also be provided to accounting clerks within the department.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
  • Preferred experience includes part-time or summer internships in accounting roles.
  • Alternatively, a comparable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Skills and Competencies
  • In-depth knowledge of financial and cost accounting principles.
  • Strong mathematical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to interact effectively with all levels of staff, including management and clients.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in spreadsheet and word processing software, with a willingness to learn and utilize accounting and financial reporting software.
