Health Economics Director

Vera Therapeutics is seeking an experienced Health Economics Director to join our team. As a key member of our Medical Affairs and Clinical Research department, you will be responsible for generating real-world evidence and health economics comparative effectiveness research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute health economics strategies and plans for each program, including the design and execution of health economics studies.
- Ensure the generation of health economics evidence addresses the needs and expectations of key stakeholders, including payers, health technology assessment agencies, healthcare providers, and patients.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including medical affairs, marketing, and clinical teams, to integrate relevant health economics data into clinical studies and commercialization plans.
- Engage with external partners, including payers, healthcare providers, thought leaders, and decision-makers, to establish and maintain strong relationships and partnerships.
- Provide strategic guidance to internal teams on healthcare resource allocation and pricing strategies.
- Present research findings to internal and external stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in health economics methodologies and best practices.
Requirements:
- Prior experience leading health economics, health outcomes, patient-reported outcomes, epidemiology, health policy, and related research methodologies in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.
- Disease knowledge in nephrology, rare diseases, neurology, ophthalmology, and/or immunology drug development is highly desirable.
- 10+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree in a related field (e.g., PhD, DrPH, PharmD, MS).
- Advanced written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly and simply.
- Knowledge and experience in managed care and integrated delivery networks, formulary decision-making, and payment and access.
