Advanced MRI Imaging Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Piedmont Eastside Medical Center is seeking a proficient MRI Technologist to conduct diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging under the supervision of a Radiologist. The successful candidate will ensure high-quality patient care across diverse age groups while adhering to safety protocols for magnetic resonance imaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit expertise in executing all MRI procedures for patients of varying ages.
- Ensure exceptional care during radiological examinations.
- Maintain proficiency in all non-scanner related aspects of the role.
- Accurately follow established imaging protocols.
- Conduct quality control measures in accordance with established guidelines.
- Provide age-appropriate care and education to patients.
- Serve as a mentor for students and junior technologists.
- Assist in advanced imaging procedures, including Breast Biopsies and Cardiac imaging.
- Effectively plan and carry out diagnostic imaging procedures.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist, with 2-3 years specifically as an MRI Technologist.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in both Radiography and MRI.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
Skills and Competencies:
- In-depth understanding of cross-sectional anatomy.
- Capability to perform high-quality MRI examinations while ensuring patient safety.
- Ability to instruct and guide fellow technologists.
- Proficient in service recovery and effective patient communication.
