POSITION SUMMARY:

The MRI Imaging Specialist plays a crucial role in the healthcare team by employing magnetic resonance imaging technology to capture detailed images of the human body. This vital process aids healthcare professionals in diagnosing various medical conditions.

The MRI Technologist is responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging procedures in alignment with established protocols and under the supervision of a qualified Radiologist. This role involves delivering compassionate patient care across all demographics, including neonates, children, adults, and the elderly.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform magnetic resonance imaging examinations following prescribed safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide optimal patient care.


QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with at least six months in MRI technology preferred.

CERTIFICATION:
Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R).

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
BLS certification is mandatory. Advanced certification in MRI (MR) by the ARRT is preferred.
