KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The MRI Imaging Specialist is responsible for utilizing the resonant frequency characteristics of atoms within a magnetic field to produce detailed images of anatomical and physiological conditions. This imaging is crucial for aiding healthcare professionals in diagnosing various medical conditions.
The MRI Technologist conducts diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations adhering to established protocols under the supervision of a qualified Radiologist.
Providing compassionate patient care is essential, as the MRI Technologist interacts with individuals across all age groups, including neonates, children, adults, and the elderly.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a graduate of an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist, with at least six months of experience specifically as an MRI Technologist preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R).
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
BLS certification is required. Advanced certification by the ARRT in MRI (MR) is preferred.
