Key Responsibilities- Oversee and coordinate the daily functions of benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Facilitate benefits orientations for new employees and guide them through the enrollment process.
- Evaluate benefits plans and suggest cost-effective solutions that align with employee needs and organizational goals.
- Remain informed about federal, state, and local benefits regulations (e.g., ACA, FMLA, COBRA) to guarantee compliance.
- Address employee inquiries and concerns regarding benefits, including claims and coverage issues.
- Collaborate with vendors and insurance providers to ensure efficient administration of benefit programs.
- Prepare and disseminate communications and materials for open enrollment and changes to benefits.
- Assist in planning and executing annual open enrollment and other employee benefit-related events.
- Maintain precise records and ensure that employee benefits data is accurately reflected in HRIS systems.
- Provide analytical support for various benefit audits and initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in employee benefits administration, ideally within an HR context.
- Familiarity with benefits compliance requirements (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA).
- Proficient in HRIS and benefits administration software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication abilities and a capacity to engage effectively with employees at all levels.
- Robust problem-solving skills with the capability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP are advantageous.
- Experience in vendor management and negotiation is a plus.
