Role Overview

The Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for a memorable experience. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, handling transactions, and providing local insights to ensure a friction-free experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a warm welcome to guests, acknowledging IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests
  • Take and manage guest bookings, up-selling opportunities, and inform guests about ways to enhance their stay
  • Handle cash and credit transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Swiftly check guests in and out, issuing room keys and controlling safety deposit boxes
  • Record and act on guest preferences, handle messages, requests, questions, and concerns
  • Be a trusted contact for guests, assisting with issues and providing local knowledge
  • Follow safety procedures, reporting incidents and wearing protective gear as needed
  • Maintain a high level of appearance and professionalism as a brand ambassador
  • Stay informed about daily events and activities
  • Assist colleagues with ad-hoc duties when needed
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to handle guest concerns and compliments
  • Problem-solving skills to turn issues into opportunities for a positive guest experience
  • Fluency in the local language, with additional language skills a plus
  • Literacy and technical skills, including basic math and computer proficiency
  • Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a college or university degree a bonus
  • At least one year of experience in a front desk or guest service position
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50lbs (23kg), involving bending and kneeling
