Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Administrative Specialist to join our team at Insight Global. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating new patient appointments, scheduling surgeries, and performing various front office functions in an outpatient clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Master Scheduling: Coordinate patient appointments and surgeries, ensuring timely and efficient scheduling.
  • New Patient Coordination: Welcome new patients, obtain necessary information, and ensure a smooth registration process.
  • Authorization Coordination: Verify patient eligibility, obtain necessary authorizations, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Surgery/Procedure Scheduling: Schedule complex surgeries and procedures, requiring strong knowledge of procedures, department protocols, and timing.
  • Specialized Data Collection/Coordination: Collect and coordinate patient data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Working with Care Teams: Collaborate with care teams, patients, and outside facilities to obtain necessary information and diagnostic results.
  • Eligibility Determination: Ensure patients are eligible for services requested and determine patient eligibility.
  • Payment Collection: Collect payment from patients and communicate with authorization teams.
  • Registration Process: Complete activities related to the registration process, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of data.
Requirements
  • 1 year of directly related work experience.
  • Entry-level candidates (externs, new grads) welcome.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic PC skills and Epic experience preferred.
  • Experience verifying insurance and prior authorization a plus.
