Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator/Medical Assistant

At Insight Global Healthcare, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Patient Care Coordinator/Medical Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Patient Care Coordinator/Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team. This role requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patient information, equipment, and supplies for exams and procedures.
  • Assist physicians with setup and patient examinations.
  • Perform patient care tasks, including vital signs monitoring, rooming, and assisting with procedures.
  • Administer medications and process prescription refill requests.
  • Conduct waived testing, perform EKGs, and administer immunizations as needed.
  • Collect and send specimens to labs for testing.
  • Assist physicians in maintaining preventive health measures for patients.
  • Promptly report and refer patient concerns and reactions to licensed clinic personnel.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from an approved school/institution or equivalent documented training required.
  • Knowledge of EPIC and front and back-office experience preferred.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification required.
  • CMA - Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • 1-3 years of MA experience required.
