Position Summary

The Teletronic Division of DCX-CHOL Enterprises Inc. is in search of a Manufacturing Engineer Manager who meets the following criteria:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee a team of Project Engineers while facilitating production actualization and related tasks.
  • Develop product test plans, prepare design documentation, and guide assembly instructions.
  • Present designs for peer and management review.
  • Establish, enhance, and maintain comprehensive manufacturing processes and work instructions for intricate parts and processes.
  • Review and refine travelers, work instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for customer contracts.
  • Analyze work instructions, process maps, material specifications, customer drawings, and project flows.
  • Prepare and implement Engineering Change Notices.
  • Design, troubleshoot, and analyze design challenges while deploying new tooling for manufacturing.
  • Support the manufacturing floor for production and R&D prototype assemblies.
  • Design cable assemblies, wire harnesses, connectors, and interconnect components.
  • Evaluate production equipment, tools/fixtures, and assembly lines to ensure optimal and safe operation while minimizing downtime.
  • Prepare and validate manufacturing assembly instructions and routing documentation.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects aimed at enhancing efficiency in cable assembly production.
  • Assist in the development of specifications and test plans related to product development activities.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven design and manufacturing experience with molded cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electrical connectors.
  • Ability to interpret concept parts and assemblies from CAD designs, hand drawings, and sketches.
  • Competence in reading and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, and wire schematics.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing engineering.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing Project Engineering and Design Engineering teams.
  • Broad project management experience is essential.
  • Provide technical direction to engineering and design teams throughout project phases.
  • Strong capability in managing multiple projects and personnel simultaneously within established deadlines.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime to meet priority deadlines.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English; bilingual in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States is required.
  • Minimum of an Industrial/Mechanical or Electrical AA degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with electronic assembly is desirable.
  • Familiarity with precision gauges and practical shop mathematics.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as IPC-620, IPC-610, J-STD-001D, and ISO9001.
  • Able to train and mentor others.
Operating Style:

Must be a self-starter capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication are essential.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This role involves managing all department employees, overseeing performance management, hiring, and disciplinary actions.
