Director of Development Operations

Shakespeare Theatre Company is seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to fill the role of Director of Development Operations. This position plays a critical role in the Development department, working closely with the finance team to manage budgets, projections, and donor records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage annual plans for donors and prospects, ensuring timely updates and follow-ups.
  • Oversee the use of Tessitura, our CRM database, to maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Development and Database Administrator to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Development Department.
  • Develop and implement data-entry standards and regular data hygiene practices.
  • Provide donor and prospect lists for events and campaigns, ensuring accurate and timely information.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a non-profit development department, specifically working with Tessitura.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer service orientation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
