FRONT DESK MANAGER
Job Type: Full-time
Job Overview:
The Front Desk Manager oversees all facets of the front office operations, including but not limited to planning, budgeting, staffing, and payroll, in alignment with hotel policies and procedures. This role provides essential leadership and support to all front office personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of all front office staff, ensuring adherence to the established service principles and guidelines outlined in the employee handbook.
- Act as the manager on duty, addressing guest complaints, resolving issues, and managing special requests and disturbances.
- Communicate daily activities, group arrivals, VIP guests, and special requests to all front office staff. Ensure that accommodations meet guest expectations and greet guests upon arrival.
- Take full responsibility for the scheduling of the front office team, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Collaborate closely with the Housekeeping Department to enhance guest services and improve interdepartmental communication.
- Conduct monthly departmental meetings to keep staff informed about hotel activities, reinforce service principles, and promote a cohesive team environment.
- Ensure compliance with all emergency and safety protocols, remaining current on new procedures and training, and guarantee that staff is fully trained in emergency response.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma required; one to three years of related experience and/or training preferred.
- College degree is advantageous.
- Proficiency in common Windows-based software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment such as copiers and printers.
- Flexibility in work hours and days is essential.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse personalities.
- Experience in hospitality software is a plus.
- Supervisory experience in a customer service environment is beneficial.
