Job Summary
We are seeking a Patient Experience Representative to join our Learning Disabilities Department within Neurology. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and supporting unit operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Encounter Management
- Provide positive and effective customer service to support unit operations
- Collaborate with referring providers and practices to ensure seamless patient care
- Obtain required authorizations to compile patient and staff schedules
- Schedule patients and support the patient encounter
- Check In / Check Out
- Greet and direct patients, families, and visitors in a welcoming and efficient manner
- Monitor daily schedules and coordinate flow with clinicians and supervisors
- Reconcile payments and prepare deposits, providing a record of transactions in hospital systems
- Facilitate and direct communication with Financial Counseling
- Administrative
- Record and forward messages, triage calls for urgent information or services, and initiate calls for emergency services
- Provide routine clerical support as needed
Requirements
- A high school level of education, Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Prior customer service or administrative experience preferred
- The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations
- The ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies
