Job Responsibilities:

The Culinary Operations Supervisor will report to the Regional Vice President and will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing culinary strategies to surpass customer expectations.
  • Overseeing culinary and financial operations to ensure adherence to service, production, and presentation standards.
  • Applying culinary skills to food preparation and managing the final presentation and service of meals.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships while supervising and mentoring hourly staff.

Key Duties:

Culinary Management:

  • Crafting menus and controlling costs through appropriate recipes and pricing strategies.
  • Ensuring the quality of all food products meets established standards.
  • Managing all aspects of food production, execution, and presentation.
  • Overseeing catering operations effectively.

Operational Oversight:

  • Maintaining vendor relationships and managing the procurement of food and supplies.
  • Ensuring quality control practices are followed during the receiving of products.
  • Determining production schedules and staffing needs for timely service delivery.
  • Upholding company standards for safety, food handling, sanitation, and productivity.
  • Managing client satisfaction and retention through effective relationship management.
  • Controlling departmental expenses, including food costs and labor, in line with budgetary guidelines.
  • Conducting inventory management and submitting financial reports to corporate.

Team Leadership:

  • Overseeing recruitment, hiring, and staff management processes.
  • Training and supervising culinary staff in food preparation and presentation techniques.
  • Delivering excellent customer service by being attentive and approachable.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in food service management, particularly in corporate dining.

Preferred:

  • Culinary School certification or degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • ServSafe Certification.
