Job Responsibilities:
The Culinary Operations Supervisor will report to the Regional Vice President and will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing culinary strategies to surpass customer expectations.
- Overseeing culinary and financial operations to ensure adherence to service, production, and presentation standards.
- Applying culinary skills to food preparation and managing the final presentation and service of meals.
- Building and maintaining client relationships while supervising and mentoring hourly staff.
Key Duties:
Culinary Management:
- Crafting menus and controlling costs through appropriate recipes and pricing strategies.
- Ensuring the quality of all food products meets established standards.
- Managing all aspects of food production, execution, and presentation.
- Overseeing catering operations effectively.
Operational Oversight:
- Maintaining vendor relationships and managing the procurement of food and supplies.
- Ensuring quality control practices are followed during the receiving of products.
- Determining production schedules and staffing needs for timely service delivery.
- Upholding company standards for safety, food handling, sanitation, and productivity.
- Managing client satisfaction and retention through effective relationship management.
- Controlling departmental expenses, including food costs and labor, in line with budgetary guidelines.
- Conducting inventory management and submitting financial reports to corporate.
Team Leadership:
- Overseeing recruitment, hiring, and staff management processes.
- Training and supervising culinary staff in food preparation and presentation techniques.
- Delivering excellent customer service by being attentive and approachable.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in food service management, particularly in corporate dining.
Preferred:
- Culinary School certification or degree.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Eligibility Requirements:
- ServSafe Certification.
