Customer Service Representative

This role involves managing telephone calls and messages in a professional and efficient manner.
- Answer incoming calls, determine the purpose of the caller, and forward calls to the appropriate personnel or department.
- Welcome on-site visitors, determine the nature of their business, and announce them to the relevant personnel.

Typical work environments include office, light industrial, commercial, utility, and manufacturing settings. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work may involve outdoor activities exposed to elements and non-conditioned spaces.
Requirements:
- One to three years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of office procedures, practices, and etiquette.
- Skill in telephone/receptionist etiquette and courteous communication with the public, verbally and in writing.
- Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
- Work confidentially with discretion.
- Work independently with little direction.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Skilled in the operation of a variety of office machines, including personal computers, telephones, and copiers.
- Knowledge of IES computer systems.
- Must be a team player and adhere to IES's strong core values and beliefs.
