The San Francisco Film School is seeking a Global Recruitment and Enrollment Director to enhance our vibrant team of committed professionals. This pivotal role involves the recruitment, enrollment, and retention of international students by fostering meaningful connections with agents, facilitating direct lead follow-ups, collaborating with the admissions team, and overseeing student visa processes. This position offers a hybrid work model, requiring two days at our downtown campus and the remainder of the week working remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement the school's international recruitment strategy aligned with overall enrollment objectives.
  • Coordinate both virtual and in-person recruitment events to engage prospective international students and showcase our academic offerings.
  • Build and sustain a network of international recruiting agents, providing them with training and resources to support their recruitment efforts. Monitor agent performance through the admissions process and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Utilize our CRM system (HubSpot) to streamline communication with prospective students and internal stakeholders.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service via various communication channels to prospective students.

Admissions and Visa Management:

  • Gather and evaluate official documents from prospective students, providing preliminary transcript assessments to ensure they meet admission standards.
  • Assess educational qualifications, English language proficiency, and financial documentation to determine eligibility, adhering to best practices and institutional policies.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with prospective students, counselors, and families throughout the application and admission phases.
  • Act as a Designated School Official (DSO) for the Department of Homeland Security.
  • Issue Initial I-20s and DS-2019s for international students and their dependents requiring F and J visas.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Established relationships with international recruiting agents.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in international education, recruitment, or admissions; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with SEVIS as a DSO or PDSO.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with diverse populations and backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in English and at least one additional language.
  • Experience living, studying, or working abroad.
  • Familiarity with foreign educational systems and transcript evaluation.
  • Experience in supervisory roles and budget management.
