Your Role
As a Clinical Quality Coordinator, you will assist the Quality Management Director in the development and coordination of Clinical Quality Improvement Activities, focusing on Core Measures and Patient Safety Initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of the hospital-wide Quality/Performance Improvement Program.
- Collaborate with Medical Staff leadership to identify and develop opportunities for organizational improvement.
- Work with Quality Management Staff to ensure timely and effective chart reviews and audits.
- Engage in Clinical Case Management aligned with various quality improvement initiatives.
- Educate hospital and medical staff on performance improvement methodologies and current quality measures.
- Promote exceptional customer service with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead or participate in Quality/Performance Improvement Teams as necessary.
- Document orders and tests, retrieving necessary information to enhance medical records.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Must be a Registered Nurse with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree; a Master's degree is preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in the State of Texas; CPHQ certification is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of three years of recent clinical experience is required, with a preference for experience in Quality Management.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt to change and work professionally in diverse environments. Proficiency in computer applications, leadership capabilities, and knowledge of accreditation standards and data collection methods are crucial for success in this role.
