The Transport Coordinator provides expert knowledge, leadership, and education for individuals within the unit, developing educational programs to enhance staff knowledge of current trends in nursing. This role also develops, implements, and maintains a quality improvement process for the unit, performing chart audits for quality improvement of documentation and risk reduction to maintain and improve patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Supervise daily activities of the unit and staff to ensure quality patient care
- Coordinate the efforts of staff to meet patient and customer needs
- Develop and implement educational programs to enhance staff knowledge of current trends in nursing
- Develop, implement, and maintain a quality improvement process for the unit
- Perform chart audits for quality improvement of documentation and risk reduction
- Texas or Compact State Nursing License - RN required
- BCLS Certification
- NRP Certification
- ACLS Certification
- PALS
- C-NPT within two years of hire
- TNCC & ENPC within one year of hire
