Role Responsibilities
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care and overseeing all operational functions within the unit during assigned shifts. Working collaboratively with the management team, the CNC directs and evaluates nursing practices in line with established protocols, serves as a resource for staff, and embodies the organization's core values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Facilitating admission and discharge processes to optimize patient flow and care quality.
- Engaging in continuous assessment of care quality in collaboration with management.
- Fostering a collaborative environment to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
- Promoting a patient-centered approach and addressing service recovery as needed.
- Implementing nursing strategies to boost staff engagement and operational efficiency.
- Assisting in the recruitment, training, and development of new staff members.
- Managing staff schedules and ensuring alignment with patient care needs.
- Overseeing inventory management and supply procurement.
Qualifications Required:
Licensure/Certification:
Current RN licensure in Texas or a compact state.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
CCRN certification.
Education:
Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN.
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in critical care is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in English with the ability to interpret physician orders. Knowledge of infection control practices and the ability to empathize with patients and families. Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
