Role Responsibilities
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and overseeing unit operations during assigned shifts. Collaborating with management, the CNC ensures adherence to established protocols and fosters a supportive environment for nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Facilitating patient admissions and discharges to optimize care delivery.
- Evaluating the quality of care provided and collaborating with the management team to enhance service.
- Creating a collaborative atmosphere that promotes teamwork and positive outcomes.
- Upholding a patient-centered approach and addressing service recovery when necessary.
- Implementing nursing strategies to enhance staff engagement and patient satisfaction.
- Participating in the recruitment, training, and development of nursing staff.
- Managing staff schedules and ensuring compliance with productivity standards.
- Overseeing inventory management and supply control.
Qualifications Required:
Licensure/Certification:
Current RN licensure in Texas or a compact state, along with BLS and ACLS certifications. CCRN certification is also required.
Education:
Minimum of an Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN.
Experience:
Preferred candidates will have 1-2 years of critical care experience.
Skills and Competencies:
Preferred candidates should possess basic English communication skills, knowledge of body substance isolation, and the ability to empathize with patients and families. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
